Jorge & Sughey’s Bridal Portrait Session at Montalvo Arts Center California Wedding Photographer | Bay Area Wedding Photographer
As a California wedding photographer, I’m always looking for locations that not only offer stunning backdrops but also reflect the uniqueness of each couple I work with. Jorge and Sughey’s bridal portrait session at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, CA was exactly that—elegant, timeless, and full of emotion.
This wasn’t your typical styled shoot or pre-wedding session. Jorge and Sughey had already exchanged vows privately with their families earlier this year, choosing a small and intimate wedding that reflected their love and values. But this was the first time they wore their full wedding attire—Sughey in her gown, Jorge in his suit—so I had the special privilege of seeing their real reactions to each other in that moment. It felt like a first look on their wedding day, and it was incredibly moving to witness….
The Montalvo Arts Center couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. With its historic Mediterranean-style architecture, lush gardens, and warm California light filtering through the trees, every corner of the property added romance and depth to their photos. As a Bay Area wedding photographer, I often recommend this venue for couples who want a mix of natural beauty and timeless elegance.
What made this session even more special was getting to know Jorge and Sughey beyond the camera. They shared how they’ve recently started learning to line dance together—a fun way to connect and get moving as a couple. We ended up bonding over that since I dance West Coast Swing, and suddenly our session felt more like hanging out with old friends than posing for portraits.
Their full reception is planned for September, where they'll celebrate their marriage with extended family and friends. I already know it’s going to be full of joy, dancing, and heartfelt moments—just like them.
If you're looking for a California wedding photographer who values connection and candid, emotional storytelling, I’d love to chat. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement, a classic wedding day, or a portrait session like this one, I’m here to help you preserve the real, meaningful moments.
